I got my very first rejection letter (email) today. I really don’t feel bad at all about it. I feel like I crossed a threshold. It wasn’t a romance. It was a short story for a cup of comfort anthology and 47 stories were picked from 1,500 submissions. I must admit I am surprised they got so many submissions.
My next rejection will be on a romance ;)

First rejection? You're legitimate now! I'm so looking forward to my first rejection - honestly. For me it would mean that I finished the book and I actually submitted something :)
